Virtual Continental (VCA) partners with ZLA Pilot Certification Program

VCA, a long-running, premier VATSIM Virtual Airline, has opted to partner with the ZLA Pilot Certification Program to augment its existing training program.

Continental pilots will conduct their training, utilizing the existing program, going through the same ratings as 80 other pilots have already undertaken.

ZLA is thrilled with the VCA's decision and is looking forward to seeing an influx of Continental pilots to the John Wayne airport to begin their training.  VA-specific rosters have been added to the site to allow each VA to track the training of its pilots.

We will soon offer VA's the opportunity a live XML-based feed of their roster for inclusion in their own existing web sites, allowing them to retain their existing branding and supplement their existing rosters.

We encourage other VATSIM Virtual Airlines to take part in the program. There are currently two VA partners, California Airlines and now VCA. Interested parties should use the Feedback form on this site if they'd like to organize a similar arrangement.

Thanks to Donno Cole for approaching us and getting the ball rolling with this partnership.

Keith Smith
ZLA Controller
