Keith Smith passes I-11
ZLA mogul Keith Smith announced that he has passed his I11 certification flight, allegedly under the watchful eye of Eric Stearns. "It's surprisingly easy to pass when you own the server and
the database and all that stuff," he said. "And who's to say that I didn't actually fly it? As everyone knows, I fly really, really well. Nearly flawlessly."
When contacted for confirmation, controller Eric Stearns said, "The flight might as well have taken place. Look, the guy owns the servers, the bandwidth, everything. He's got us by the curlies, if you know what I mean. Just play along, OK? He likes to think he's a really good pilot, so just wink and nod, or he'll have a fit and take down his servers again, like he did that time I told him he couldn't have GPS direct."
Funny story...that release was actually authored by Wayne Conrad. Wayne can be easily reached via email, or, by this time tomorrow, by standing just a few yards behind my personal vehicle and yelling loudly for his attention. Incidentally, that's precisely what he'll be doing to try to garner yours, as he'll be stowed in the trunk gasping for his last breath.
Wayne, should you manage to liberate yourself from the aft confines of the Honda, I eagerly await your I-9 flight. Carry extra fuel. In fact, why don't you go right ahead and tow a rig and refinery behind ya?
