Mick Peters passes I-11
Congratulations to Mick "MEA" Peters on passing the I-11 ride under the watchful eye of Keith "On again, Off again" Smith. Approaching the *crackle static crackle* VOR, he was instructed to climb to 12,000ft.
Evidently more of a stickler for the 'wrong altitude for direction of flight' issue than the 'looming mountain in the distance' issue, he sought clarification on the new altitude. With several bets being placed among the on-duty controllers, mostly in favor of the mountain, Mick's attention was summarily drawn to the eastbound MEA on the upcoming airway, and he began his climb in earnest.
The author was unable to find any other mockable flaws during the ride, bringing what could've otherwise been a really fun flight debrief to a rather dull end. Selfish bastard.
